Freeze Eggs To Make Them Last Longer

Eggs are perishable and must be stored in the refrigerator. However, freezing the eggs is a great option to make them last longer. Follow these simple steps to freeze your eggs:

  1. Crack open the eggs and drop them into a bowl.
  2. Next, beat the whites and the yolks gently until they're just barely mixed.
  3. Once mixed, pour the mixture into the ice cube tray. The freeze servings are approximately half egg-sized.
  4. Then, place the tray in the freezer until the eggs are frozen. Once the egg "cubes" are harden, remove them from the tray and store them in a ziplock plastic bag.

Unfortunately, you can't freeze eggs in the shell or with their yolks intact. Thus, you can't use your frozen eggs to make breakfast with eggs sunny-side up. However, you can use them for other recipes such as omelets and scrambled eggs.
